Chad Tindol Senior Vice President for Administration

Chad Tindol serves as the Senior Vice President for Administration at the University of Florida.  Chad joined UF in 2026 and provides counsel and executive leadership in advancing the president’s priorities and the University’s mission.  His responsibilities include coordinating strategic projects and initiatives; leading the university’s planning process; serving as the president’s liaison with internal and external constituencies; advising on institutional risk and crisis preparedness; supporting executive leadership and hiring; and other duties as assigned.

Before coming to UF, Chad spent 20 years at the University of Alabama and the UA System in various roles, including as senior vice president and chief administrative officer of the institution, deputy general counsel and vice chancellor of the system, and associate dean of the law school.  Before UA, he practiced law, was a federal law clerk, and graduated from UA and Yale Law School.  He is a first-generation college student from the Wiregrass, a region that includes southeastern Alabama, southwest Georgia and Florida’s Panhandle.

Chad has served as a board member and officer with a number of non-profits including United Way and boards focused on tourism, leadership, and building families and community.  He and his wife, Julie, have three children and one grandchild.
